O2 Jam – Create O2 Jam Logo for Favicons

O2 Jam is one of my favorite game. In this game you can play your music do you like, from classic up to techo, from slow up to very fast. Besides it, you can practice your finger more thaw likes Mozart, Vivaldi, Beethoven , Bernstein and more …
In this tutorial, we will create favicons from capturing the game up to appear the icon in your blog.

Step 1 – Getting Started:
First, open your O2 Jam game normally. Then play your music do you like up to finish, when your score is appear presh “Print – Screen” key on your keyboard to capture the O2 Jam logo. Then close the game and open the windows explorer --> search your path installation on your disk “..\e-Games\O2Jam\Save”.

Open up your source image in Photoshop and zoom in to a comfortable magnification - you will need to get rather close to the image for this entire tutorial. Duplicate the background (i.e. image layer) and make it active in the layer palette. This will give you a backup to go back to in case you have any problems later.

Step 2 – Create Parts The Logo:

Whip out the Pen Tool with the 'Shape Layer' option set and begin tracing the character outline, making sure that you exclude all areas of background color. Don't worry about leaving the stray hairs outside - that's ok, as we'll be making new ones later.
Note: change opacity and fill = 0%, to simplifity your work and look like using Pen Tool with the “Path”
After you create all parts of the logo, resize / transform (Ctrl+T key) up to W = 265% & H = 265 %

Step 3 – Finishing Every Part:

1. Part 1 (Head – Right Hand)
* Inner Shadow --> opacity = 50%, distance = 13, spread = 0, size= 40, angle = -32 & check ‘use global light’

Step 4 – Create Icons:

* Create new document 512 X 512 (px) background = transparent --> drag the O2 Jam logo --> save as “*.png”

Note: If you want save in “*.ico” you must have plug-in, because Photoshop does not come with the ability to save Window's icon (.ico) file formats as standard, so you need to download a plug-in before you can proceed.

* In this tutorial I use “Axialis IconWorkshop 6.11”, --> so open this software --> Import / Open up your source image --> click “Create Window’s icon from image” --> check all you need --> ok --> save

Step 5 – Upload Favicons:

* Now upload this file into the base HTML directory of your website, together with your index/home page/ in your blog.
* So you should open the template and find the code

edit on HTML. This code located between and . If the code is not found, you must create the code. For your url icon, you can locate the code “http://www.yourdomain.com/directory/file-name.png”, change this url with yours. It’s support in png, ico, or gif format.

HeruNoise – Transfigure photo with vector and brush

This tutorial technique is similar with “Nobi – Photo blur to animation image” tutorial, it’s called “tracing technique”. Tracing technique with pen tool is intend to create high resolution image. I’m also expain to create funky background in this tutorial.

Step 1 – Getting Started:

Open up your source image in Photoshop and zoom in to a comfortable magnification - you will need to get rather close to the image for this entire tutorial. Duplicate the background (i.e. image layer) and make it active in the layer palette. This will give you a backup to go back to in case you have any problems later.

Step 2 – Create Path (Hair):

Whip out the Pen Tool with the 'Shape Layer' option set and begin tracing the character outline, making sure that you exclude all areas of background color. Don't worry about leaving the stray hairs outside - that's ok, as we'll be making new ones later.
Note: change opacity and fill = 0%, to simplifity your work and look like using Pen Tool with the “Path”

Step 3 – Create Layer (Hair):

1. Create new layer with name ‘Hair’
2. Open blending option:
* Drop Shadow --> default

* Satin --> blend mode = soft light, color = white, opacity = 100%, angle = 90, distance = 1, size = 5, contour = rolling slope-descending, anti-aliased = yes

* Color Overlay --> blend mode = normal, color = balck, opacity = 100%

* Gradient Overlay --> blend mode = normal, opacity = 100%, reverse = yes, style = reflected, align with layer = yes, angle = 90, scale = 125

* Color Overlay --> blend mode = normal, color = fad8b3, opacity = 100%

Step 5 – Create Layer (Hands – Neck - Ears):

Create new layer like Step 2, but finishing it with blending option setting on Step 4 & some change --> Inner Shadow and Bevel & Emboss – just change or drag the value do you like to get good lighting.

* Drop Shadow --> default
* Inner Shadow --> as Neck Bend
* Inner Glow --> as Neck Bend
* Gradient Overlay --> as Neck Bend

* Load Style ‘ Web Rolloverstyle’ --> ‘Form Button’

Step 7 – Create Layer (Clock):

Just simple to make it glossy, Load Style ‘ Web Rolloverstyle’ --> ‘Neutral Glass Button’

Step 8 – Duplicate HeruNoise Layer (Create Glow Effect on Figure):

Ok, this step is attend to create backup the HeruNoise Group Layer --> duplicate HeruNoise Group --> Merge Group --> path the layer upper

Then open blending option window and enter following setting:
* Drop Shadow = yes (make it default)
* Outer Glow --> blend mode = difference, opacity 75%, noise = 0, color = 0092fb , technique = precise, spread = 11, size = 182, range = 50

Step 9 – Finishing (Create Funky Background)

Now all you have to do is create funky background,
1. Create new layer --> fill with solid color = fe0202 --> open blending option window and enter following setting:
* Bevel & Emboss --> depth = 75%, direction = up, size = 15, soften = 0, angle = 120 & don’t check ‘use global light’, altitude = 65, -->hightlight mode = screen, color = white, opacity = 100%, --> shadow mode = normal, color = black, opacity = 50%

* Contour --> contour = ring double, range = 22%

* Satin --> blend mode = screen, color = fe0202, opacity = 100%, angle = 135, distance = 7, size = 11, contour = saw tooth 1, anti-aliased = yes, invert = yes

2. Create new layer upper than before --> fill with gradiend = foreground to background (black & white)

--> Filter --> Wave , Ok

--> Hue / Saturation, then check “Colorize”, Change hue = 0, saturation = 50, lightness = 0

--> change layer to Color Burn

3. Create new layer and name it ‘worn’ & ‘splate’ --> load ‘worn_highres001’ & ‘k05_splate’ photoshop brush --> glow effect as Step 8

Note: You must have ‘worn_highres001’ & ‘k05_splate’ photoshop brush

Nobi – Photo blur to animation image

If you have a not focused photo called ‘blur’ don’t worry to make it more beatify. To design animation image from a photo is a speciality dispense, in photoshop you must patient, curious & have imagination. In this tutorial we will study some technique which one is tracing technique.

Step 1 – Getting Started:

Open up your source image in Photoshop and zoom in to a comfortable magnification - you will need to get rather close to the image for this entire tutorial. Duplicate the background (i.e. image layer) and make it active in the layer palette. This will give you a backup to go back to in case you have any problems later.

Step 2 – Create Path (Hair):

Whip out the Pen Tool with the 'Paths' option set and begin tracing the character outline, making sure that you exclude all areas of background color. Don't worry about leaving the stray hairs outside - that's ok, as we'll be making new ones later.

Step 3 – Create Layer (Hair):

1. Create new layer with name ‘Hair’
2. Open path window, stroke path with black color (3px) & fill path with black color too
3. Open blending option:
* Drop Shadow --> opacity = 50%, distance = 2, spread = 5, size= 5

* Inner Shadow --> opacity = 50%, distance = 5, spread = 20, size= 5, angle = -90 & don’t check ‘use global light’

* Inner Glow --> color = 666666, technique = softer, source = edge, choke = 50%, size = 3

* Bevel & Emboss --> depth = 65%, direction = up, size = 6, soften = 1, angle = 90 & don’t check ‘use global light’, altitude = 80, -->hightlight mode = linear dodge, color = white, opacity = 50%, --> shadow mode = soft light, color = 333333, opacity = 100%

* Contour --> contour = gaussian, range = 100%

* Satin --> blend mode = soft light, color = white, opacity = 100%, angle = 90, distance = 1, size = 5, contour = rolling slope-descending, anti-aliased = yes

* Color Overlay --> blend mode = normal, color = balck, opacity = 100%

* Gradient Overlay --> blend mode = normal, opacity = 100%, reverse = yes, style = reflected, align with layer = yes, angle = 90, scale = 125

* Stroke --> size = 1, position = centre, blend mode = normal, opacity = 75%, filetype = color, color = black

Step 4 – Create Layer (Face):

Create new layer, Like step 2, but in this step using ‘shape tool’ --> elipse tool. Combine it with ctrl-key / alt-key / shift-key to make same scale with face. Then open blending option and enter this following setting :
* Inner Shadow --> blend mode = multiply, color = c89b6a, opacity = 75%, angle = 30 & Use global light = yes, distance = 5, choke = 0, size = 13

* Bevel & Emboss --> style = inner bevel, technique = smooth, depth = 100%, direction = up, size = 35, soften = 10, angle = 40 & don’t check ‘use global light’, altitude = 60, --> hightscreen mode = screen, color = white, opacity = 75%, --> shadow mode = multiply, color = 8c6239, opacity = 75%

* Color Overlay --> blend mode = normal, color = fad8b3, opacity = 100%

Step 5 – Create Layer (Hands):

Create new layer like Step 2, but finishing it with blending option setting on Step 4 & some change --> Bevel & Emboss – just change or drag the value do you like to get good lighting.

Step 6 – Create Layer (Eyes – Nose - Lips):

1. Create Eyes
* Create eyeball (black) --> use Shape Tool --> eclipse tool --> blending option setting as Step 2

* Create eyeball (white) --> use Pen Tool and make ‘Path’ as Step 2 --> Load Style ‘ Web Rolloverstyle’ --> ‘Gel Rollover with Selected State’

* Create Eye Lash & Eye Brow --> use Pen Tool and make ‘Path’ as Step 2 --> color = black

2. Create Nose & Lips --> use Pen Tool and make ‘Path’ as Step 2 --> fill path = 603913, stroke path = c69c6d

Step 7 – Create Layer (Shirt – Pants - Shocks):

1. Create Shirt --> use Pen Tool and make ‘Path’ as Step 2 --> open blending option window and enter following setting:

* Color Overlay --> blend mode = normal, color = fd0101, opacity = 49%

* Gradient Overlay --> blend mode = normal, opacity = 35%, gradient = black to white, reverse = yes, style = linear, align with layer = yes, angle = 90, scale = 137%

2. Create Pants --> use Pen Tool and make ‘Path’ as Step 2 --> color = black

3. Create Shocks --> use Pen Tool and make ‘Path’ as Step 2 --> fill path = white, stroke path = black

Step 8 – Create Effect ( Star Glow)

1. Create new layer and name it ‘star glow’ --> load ‘starbrush’ brush --> Filter --> Distort --> Shear --> drag the point do you like --> ok, then delete unnecessary part with eraser tool.

Note: you must have ‘starbrush’ photoshop brush

2. Create new group from Nobi part layer --> duplicate --> merge group, this step purpose is to create nobi figure can fill with ‘glow effect’
3. Create glow effect -->click ‘star glow layer’ & ‘nobi copy layer’ --> blending option --> drop shadow = yes (make it default), outer glow --> blend mode = screen, opacity 75%, noise = 0, color = ef7373 , technique = softer, spread = 8, size = 92

Step 9 – Finishing

Now all you have to do is create funky background,
1. Create new layer and name it ‘butterflies’ & ‘splate’ --> load ‘SS-butterflies-n-trails’ & ‘k05_splate’ photoshop brush --> glow effect as Step 8

Note: You must have ‘SS-butterflies-n-trails’ & ‘

k05_splate’ photoshop brush

2. Create new layer and combine some square with ‘rectangle tool’ in a row --> Filter --> Twirl

Digital clock in flash

Using this little tutorial, you will see how to create simple digital clock in flash using a little action script code.You can use this digital clock for any web site if you like.You will also learn how to design a area for clock, how to create dynamic text field and more.Let's go!

Step 1

Create a new flash doucment.Take the Rectangle Tool (R). In the Colors portion of the Tool panel, block the Stroke color by clicking on the little pencil icon and then on the small square with the red diagonal line. For Fill color choose #19A3CB color and draw a "rectangle" about 180x55px.

Step 2

While the rectangle is still selected, go to the Align Panel (Ctrl+K) and set the following options:

1.Make sure that the Align/Distribute to Stage button is turned on,
2.Click on the Align horizontal center button and
3.Click the Align vertical center button.

Step 3

Take agian the Rectangle Tool (R) and repeat step 1, but for this time, for Fill Color choose #2379CF. Then, draw the another rectangle within the first rectangle about 140x30px. See the picture below.

After you have drawn the second rectangle within the first rectangle, repeat step 2 to align also the second rectangle with the background.

Step 4

Double click on layer 1 to rename its name in background.

Step 5

Then, click on the seconda frame of layer background and press F5 key. After that, create a new layer above the backround layer and name it dynamic text. See the picture below.

Step 6

Select the dynamic text layer and take the Text Tool (A).Then, create a dynamic text field over the white rectangle. See the picture below.

Step 7

While the dynamic text field that we just created is still selected, go to the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3) below the stage. On the left side, You will find the Instance name input field there. Call this dynamic field Clock_text.

Step 8

Create a new layer above the dynamic text layer and name it action.

Step 9

Click on the first frame of layer action and open the Action Script Panel (F9). Then, enter the following code inside the actions panel:
